“Improving Your Cyber Defences” interactive event for not-for-profit leaders

12 August 2021

• How can you minimise the risk of being hacked?
• What are the points of vulnerability in your organisation?

Cyber security threats are currently affecting all organisations, both internationally and in New Zealand. A recent example you may have heard about is Otago and Auckland universities being victims of an international data security breach in mid-2020, which resulted in a US software supplier paying hackers an undisclosed ransom.

Donor data is at risk

Join Barrer & Co’s discussion-style session tailored to not-for-profit organisations, where expert Peter Bailey (General Manager at Aura Information Security) will speak about the latest on cyber security and answer any questions you might have.

From ensuring you are not exposed to cyber security risks through phishing emails (the main form of attack in New Zealand!), to understanding what the impact would be to you and your donors and/or service users if your data is stolen, in this session you will learn why it is everyone’s responsibility in an organisation to ensure you are prepared to manage cyber risk. This is not just an issue for the IT team!

This event is FREE to attend for all not-for-profit leaders and Trustees. Details below!
